Bon Secours Mercy Health Chief Ancillary Services Officer Wayne Bohenek has been named to the Advisory Panel of Pharmacists in C-Suites (PICS) initiative by the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP).
The panel is made up of pharmacists holding executive-level positions, all of whom are key influencers in their workplaces and in the pharmacy space. They are well versed in the growing clinical complexity of practice, the impact of pharmacy operations on enterprise-wide fiscal performance, the continued diversification of service lines, and the overall medication-use process in hospitals and health systems.
In his capacity on the Advisory Panel, Bohenek will help to mentor future leaders, helping to create pathways for advancement into leadership positions in health care. In addition, he will provide crucial insights to help ensure the success of ASHP’s Leadership Center, contributing to the development of valuable resources and opportunities for pharmacists in executive roles.
The Advisory Panel advises ASHP on optimal strategies to position PICS for success, encompassing the development of tailored initiatives, comprehensive policies and impactful programs. The panel also offers insights into the evolving marketplace for hospital and health-system executives, providing a nuanced perspective on emerging trends, challenges and innovations within health care.
Bohenek will serve a two-year term on the Advisory Panel.
