Bon Secours Mercy Health (BSMH) announces Dylan Clark as its new chief analytics and artificial intelligence (AI) officer, effective Feb. 16. Clark joins the ministry’s information technology team and reports to Edmund Siy, chief information and technology officer, BSMH.
In this new position, Clark will guide BSMH’s enterprise strategy for data, analytics and artificial intelligence — work that sits at the center of some of healthcare’s most transformative change. He will partner with leaders across the ministry to evaluate and scale technologies that improve patient care, protect sensitive information, lift operational efficiency and spark responsible innovation. His portfolio includes shaping a comprehensive AI roadmap and ensuring every deployment aligns with the ministry’s Mission and the Ethical and Religious Directives.
“Dylan’s background in expanding enterprise analytics and responsibly scaling AI makes him an exceptional fit for this role,” said Edmund Siy, chief information and technology officer, BSMH. “He brings the vision and technical depth needed to advance our mission‑aligned approach to data, analytics and artificial intelligence.”
The addition of a chief analytics and AI leader comes at a time of rapid growth in artificial intelligence across the healthcare industry. A major component of Clark’s work will be building and overseeing an AI governance framework that supports safe, compliant and transparent use of tools such as predictive analytics, diagnostic applications and workflow automation.
Health systems nationwide are increasingly deploying AI to support clinical workflows, streamline operations, improve diagnostic accuracy and enhance patient outcomes. With this expansion comes heightened responsibility to ensure ethical use, data privacy, bias mitigation and clinical safety, areas where strong governance and dedicated leadership are critical. Through the establishment of this role, BSMH is positioned to advance innovation while upholding the ministry’s commitment to compassionate, high‑quality care.
“I am honored to join Bon Secours Mercy Health and look forward to partnering with teams across the ministry to advance how we use data and AI to support our caregivers, improve outcomes and enhance the patient experience,” said Clark.
Clark joins BSMH from MedStar Health, where he led data strategy and systemwide analytics capabilities across hospitals, clinics and research partnerships. Prior to that, he held analytics and data science leadership roles at a variety of health systems across the country. At each organization, he strengthened analytics maturity, built scalable data platforms and supported the responsible adoption of AI for clinical and operational decision‑making.
As BSMH continues expanding its digital foundation and exploring new models of care delivery, Clark will collaborate closely with IT and operational leaders to ensure analytics and AI tools serve one purpose above all: delivering compassionate, high‑quality care to every patient.
