UKG, a leading provider of HR, payroll and workforce management solutions, recently named Bon Secours Mercy Health (BSMH) one of 15 2023 Innovation Award winners at its annual UKG Aspire event held in Las Vegas, NV. The award recognizes customers leveraging AI-powered technology to create a great place to work and drive exceptional business results.
“This year’s Innovation Award winners represent the best of what is possible when you invest in your people,” said Bob Hughes, chief customer and strategy officer at UKG. “Organizations like those we celebrate – who prioritize building a great place to work for all with AI-powered technology – reap the benefits of a more engaged and productive workforce. As the authority on workplace culture, we are proud to partner with these organizations and so many others worldwide to inspire greatness throughout their journey.”
BSMH successfully transitioned to a mobile-first environment that empowers associates to manage their schedules digitally, improving retention rates and reducing disruptions to operations. The health care ministry also launched skills-based scheduling that lets associates choose shifts aligned with their qualifications and expertise, leading to a better workplace experience and improved patient care.
“At Bon Secours Mercy Health, we are constantly working to ensure that we are a place where associates want to work, clinicians want to practice, people seek wellness and communities thrive,” said Kyle Arnold, BSMH chief HR services officer. “Our associates have shared that they want and need flexibility in the workplace, and we want them to make a career at BSMH. By identifying and implementing new and innovative solutions, we can improve their experience, which ultimately helps with retention and satisfaction – and improves our care for patients.”
