Edmund Siy Joins Bon Secours Mercy Health as Chief Information & Technology Officer

Bon Secours Mercy Health (BSMH) announced that Edmund Siy will serve as the organization’s chief information and technology officer, effective May 12. In this role, Siy is responsible for Information Technology strategy & operations including cybersecurity, deployment of artificial intelligence and clinical informatics and implementation throughout the system’s seven-state footprint.

“Our Information Technology function is laser-focused on both enabling and optimizing our technology capabilities to help make health care easier for our patients and empowering our employees to more effectively care for our patients,” said Bon Secours Mercy Health Chief Administrative Officer Joe Gage. “This is critical work, and I am confident that Edmund will help BSMH build a modern, accessible and efficient technology ecosystem, which will improve the patient experience and empower caregivers to deliver quality, compassionate outcomes.”

Siy joins BSMH from Hunterdon Health, a Flemington, NJ based health system where he most recently served as senior vice president, chief digital & information officer responsible for leading the technology strategy for the health system focused on establishing an integrated digital platform for patients and providers. 

He also held several information technology executive roles at Mercy, a Catholic health system based in Chesterfield, MO, where he had oversight for various information technology capabilities. He is a 2024 Becker’s CIO to Know and has multi-industry information technology experience having spent time in the media and entertainment and institutional real estate sectors prior to his time in health care. 

Siy earned a Master of Arts from Gonzaga University. He is active in the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHiME) and has served on the CHiME Policy Steering Committee and earning the Certified Healthcare CIO (CHCIO), Fellow and Certified Digital Health Executive (CDH-E) certifications. In addition, Siy participates with the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) where he served in a variety of chapter leadership capacities.
