The Cincinnati Business Courier and the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber have announced that Bon Secours Mercy Health was the winner of the Goal Setter of the Year as part of the 2022 CLIMB (Cincinnati Lifts Inclusion and Minority Business) Awards.
The Goal Setter of the Year award recognized Bon Secours Mercy Health for its demonstrated commitment to supplier diversity and its willingness to share critical information across its supply chain to optimize business opportunities for minority suppliers.
“Ensuring supplier diversity isn’t just the right thing to do from an equity standpoint. It’s a key strategy we employ to build resilience into our supply chain. Incorporating supplier diversity into our planning means we have a bigger pool of vendors to help us weather disruptions and meet the needs of health care providers across the country,” said Dan Hurry, president of Advantus Health Partners and chief supply chain officer of Bon Secours Mercy Health.
The CLIMB program, now in its fifth year, honors individuals and organizations in Greater Cincinnati that have helped the region achieve greater heights of success through building a diverse workforce, championing equitable practices and developing inclusive cultures.
