David Cannady is the chief strategy officer for Bon Secours Mercy Health, leading the strategic planning, market analytics, physician and provider relations, and business development teams. With a career spanning health care operations, consulting and strategic growth, David plays a pivotal role in shaping the ministry’s long-term direction and ability to adapt to evolving community needs.
Before joining Bon Secours Mercy Health, David served as vice president of the Strategic Resource Group at Hospital Corporation of America (HCA) in Nashville, where he led strategic planning and consulting for growth initiatives, service lines and hospital operations. Prior to HCA, he was a senior manager in the health care consulting group at Cap Gemini Ernst & Young. He began his career at Richmond Memorial Hospital, now Bon Secours Memorial Regional Medical Center in Mechanicsville, Virginia.
David is deeply committed to ensuring Bon Secours Mercy Health remains at the forefront of innovation while staying true to its mission. He takes pride in the ministry’s ongoing investments in underserved communities, expanding programs, services and facilities to better serve patients and their families.
