Wayne Bohenek serves as chief ancillary services officer for Bon Secours Mercy Health, overseeing pharmacy and laboratory services. Since joining Mercy Health in 2002, he has held several leadership roles, including vice president of care transformation and senior vice president of clinical support services. His leadership focuses on improving health care operations, advancing clinical innovation and enhancing patient outcomes through integrated ancillary services. 

With extensive experience in health care administration, Wayne previously held leadership positions at the University of Chicago Hospital and Clinics and the Chief Pharmacy Officer at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. His expertise in pharmacy and hospital administration has positioned him as a key leader in health care transformation. 

Wayne also serves as an adjunct associate professor at the University of Cincinnati James L. Winkle College of Pharmacy, contributing to the development of future health care professionals. In this role, he shares his expertise in clinical operations, pharmacy services and health care administration, helping to shape the next generation of industry leaders.  

He is Lean Certified and Six Sigma trained, equipping him with the skills to optimize processes, reduce inefficiencies and implement data-driven solutions that improve health care delivery. By applying these methodologies, he drives measurable improvements in patient outcomes, resource management and overall operational excellence. Additionally, he is a Fellow in the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists, a graduate of the Wharton Executive Management Training Program, Intermountain Advanced Training on Healthcare Quality and completed leadership training from the Center for Creative Leadership.
