Chief Digital Officer

Leading with Purpose: Meet Jason

As the chief digital officer for Bon Secours Mercy Health and president of its digital investing arm Accrete Health Partners, Jason Szczuka leads the ministry’s focus on strategic technological opportunities that enhance patient care and operational efficiency.

With a deep background in digital transformation and health care innovation, Jason previously served as chief digital officer at Cigna, where he led efforts to evolve the organization from a traditional health plan administrator to a global health services company. Prior to that, he co-founded Brighter, a digital health platform that streamlined interactions between patients, providers and payers. Following Brighter’s acquisition by Cigna, he continued to develop solutions that improved health care engagement and transactions.

Jason is committed to leveraging technology to enhance access, improve care delivery, and create seamless digital experiences for both patients and providers.

Vision & Passion

I believe in using technology not just to optimize health care, but to truly transform the patient experience. Digital innovation has the power to break down barriers, improve access, and make quality care more intuitive and convenient for everyone.
