Dan Hurry is a results-driven health care supply chain management leader committed to transforming the industry with innovative and patient-focused strategies. As President of Advantus Health Partners, he guides the organization’s strategic vision, growth and operational leadership, ensuring that supply chain functions drive efficiency and improve care delivery.
In addition to his role at Advantus, Dan serves as Chief Supply Chain Officer for Bon Secours Mercy Health, one of the largest nonprofit health systems in the U.S. He oversees supply chain operations across 50 hospitals in seven states and Ireland, leading initiatives that enhance cost savings, service quality and overall system performance. Before the 2018 Bon Secours Mercy Health merger, he played a crucial role in integrating supply chain operations and has since driven procurement models to support sustainable growth and efficiency.
With over 25 years of experience, Dan has successfully led large-scale transformation efforts in supply chain operations, focusing on strategic sourcing, supplier partnerships and cost-saving initiatives. His leadership philosophy ensures supply chain decisions align with patient-centered care and operational excellence.
Dan’s career spans leadership roles at Tenet Healthcare and Baptist Health System, where he led large-scale supply chain transformations, advancing procurement models, logistics strategies and bundled payment frameworks. His early career in manufacturing, product development and retail industries equipped him with deep expertise in procurement, distribution and supplier partnerships — experience he now applies to health care to create results-driven supply chain solutions.
