Chief Risk Officer Honored Nationally for Experience and Leadership

Kristina Odom, Bon Secours Mercy Health chief risk officer, was recognized by Women We Admire as one of the 2024 Top 50 Women Chief Risk Officers.

Odom’s background includes expertise in litigation, risk management, insurance and hospital operations, and she is adept at navigating complex regulatory environments to ensure compliance. With nearly 20 years of experience in health care, she has a deep understanding of patient safety, physician relations and employment law.

Odom began her career as an attorney, where she focused on medical malpractice defense litigation. She joined Mercy Health in 2005 and is responsible for identifying, analyzing and mitigating risk for one of the country’s largest health care systems. The Ohio native holds a Bachelor of Science in nursing science from the University of Cincinnati and a Doctor of Jurisprudence in law from the University of Dayton School of Law.
