Bon Secours Mercy Health Chief Marketing Officer Recognized for Excellence

Bon Secours Mercy Health (BSMH) Chief Marketing Officer Sandra Mackey was honored by Becker’s Hospital Review as one of the 78 hospital and health system chief marketing officers to know in 2024.

The list recognizes dynamic leaders who are shaping how their organizations are viewed and experienced by patients and communities. Through brand building, data-driven campaigns and strong customer relationship strategies, honorees position their organizations as thought leaders in health care.

Mackey joined BSMH, one of the five largest Catholic health systems in the nation, in 2017 with a focus on innovative marketing initiatives that would propel the organization into the future. Under her leadership, BSMH has developed a conversational AI tool designed to guide consumers to appropriate care settings, improving patient access and experience. In addition, Mackey has been key in advancing digital marketing efforts that help to make health care easier.

She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Birmingham, England and previously served as the vice president of marketing and communications for the Arthritis Foundation. Mackey is the board chair for the FC Cincinnati Foundation and is a member of the board of directors for Catholic Charities USA, Brado and Mercy Neighborhood Ministries.
