Jenny O’Brien has served as a member of the Bon Secours Mercy Health (BSMH) Board of Directors since its formation in September 2018. Ms. O’Brien was a member of the Bon Secours Health System, Inc. Board prior to being appointed to the
BSMH Board.
Ms. O’Brien is president of BlackBridge Advisors, advising private equity firms and organizations on regulatory, governance and complex operational issues. Most recently, Ms. O’Brien was the UnitedHealthcare (UHC) chief compliance officer where she was a member of the Executive Leadership Team and created the
national compliance strategy for Medicare Advantage, Medicaid, Commercial and Employer products.
Ms. O’Brien received a Master of Science from Dartmouth, a Doctorate in Jurisprudence from the William Mitchell College of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in journalism from the University of St. Thomas. She is certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC) & Privacy (CHPC) and sits on the Editorial Board for the Journal
of Health Care Compliance. She is chair of the Audit & Compliance Committee of St. Charles Health System in Bend, Oregon, past president of the Health Care Compliance Association/Society of Corporate Compliance & Ethics (HCCA/SCCE) and serves as an advisory board member for health care technology companies.
